Main Introduction

Shear pump is used to handle the high property mud, making the mud to obtain good rheological properties and to cut the drilling cost as much as possible. Shear pump can greatly improve the hydration degree of the soil particles. The degree of dispersion and hydration of soil particles in water depends on: electrolyte content, time, humidity, quantity and concentration of surface exchangeable cations. Under the same other conditions, the use of shear pump can greatly accelerate the dispersion of soil particles, so as to greatly accelerate the hydration progress of particles, so that the mud has good rheological properties. Especially, it is better to use attapulgite and Haicang stone powder to prepare sea water mud in offshore drilling. Using shear pump can save more than 30% of earth moving.
