Wiped Film Evaporators are horizontal evaporator with wiper basket, gear motors and external condenser.
The vapour nozzle is typically arranged at the upper end of the evaporator in order to facilitate the transfer of the vapours to the external condenser.
Dea offers thin film evaporators from 0.058 to 3 m2 .

Wiped Film Evaporator (WFE) or Thin Film Evaporator is used for evaporation of heat sensitive, fouling, or vicious liquids and slurries. These evaporators swiftly separate more volatile components from less volatile components through mechanical agitation and indirect heat transfer under controlled conditions. TFE are capital intensive equipment and are only confined for applications that require evaporation of very vicious materials.
